SALOME
In directing and designing Oscar Wilde's Salome, I sought to tap into the hallucinatory Symbolist style in which it was written. My adaptation of the script involved fracturing each character into two or more parts-- the outer face of the character and its inner voice or shade-- and using overlapping choral speech and movement to create a dream-like quailty in the piece.
